Samsung to unveil surprising new Odyssey monitors

In a few days’ time, Samsung will take advantage of CES 2026 to present its new range of Odyssey monitors. While Samsung’s QD-OLED offerings won’t revolutionize the market, other references are likely to be the talk of the town. Indeed, monitor references equipped with an IPS panel are bound to attract attention.

Samsung Odyssey 3D: the return of 3D (without glasses)

The Odyssey 3D (G90HX) is a 32″ monitor, but above all it’s the world’s first 6K 165Hz screen with glasses-free 3D. Thanks to its integrated eye-tracking system, it dispenses with traditional glasses, offering a smooth native 3D experience while converting 2D content into three dimensions. Another special feature is the ability to switch resolution to 3K while doubling refresh rate to 330 Hz. The Odyssey 3D has a little brother, the Odyssey G8 (G80HS), which seems to have exactly the same features (including 6K/3K switching) but without the benefit of 3D display.

Still with an IPS panel, the Odyssey G6 (G60H) is a 27-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440) monitor that operates at 600 Hz, but can reach a frequency of 1040 Hz – a world first – thanks to its mode in the same spirit as the previous model. This means you can switch to HD resolution (1280 x 720) to enjoy 1040 Hz.

Other more conventional references will be presented at CES. The OLED references will feature the Korean manufacturer’s latest-generation QD-OLED panels. We’re expecting an improvement in brightness, which seems to be confirmed as these references will feature DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification.

But let’s be frank, it’s clearly the first screen mentioned at the top of our brief that will be the curiosity of the moment. We’ve never been particularly excited by 3D on a monitor, but we’re intrigued by the fact that it can function without glasses because of its built-in eye-tracking system and dynamic 2D/3D conversion.
