Gigabyte revises the B860M DS3H WiFi6E!

Gigabyte offers a new revision of one of its motherboards. The brand has improved the cooling of its B860M SD3H WiFi6E. Otherwise, there’s no big change in the board’s features. Anyway, let’s take a look together, because it’s interesting.

B860M DS3H WiFi6E: a revised version!

As a reminder, with this motherboard, Gigabyte offers us a micro-ATX format model. It is designed for Intel Core Ultra 200 processors, with its LGA-1851 socket and B860 chipset.

Here we find a motherboard belonging to Gigabyte’s “classic” series. The board’s design is rather sober and uncluttered. However, this revised version modifies the board’s VRM heatsinks. Where version 1.0 was based on extruded aluminum block heatsinks, version 2.0 features heatsinks with aluminum fins. Better still, a copper heat pipe links the two.

Otherwise, the card still features four DDR5 memory slots. These are announced as supporting DDR5 at 9066 MT/s. The PCIe section features a first reinforced 5.0 x16 slot. This is complemented by three other slots in PCIe 3.0 x1. Finally, the storage section features four SATA and one M.2 in PCIe 5.0 x4 with dedicated heatsink. A second M.2 is present, but without a cooling system and in PCIe 4.0 x4.

At the rear, six USB-A connectors will suffice to connect your peripherals. DisplayPort and HDMI video outputs are also included. There’s also a 2.5 GbE Ethernet connection, as well as an audio component driven by a Realtek ALC897 chip.

For the moment, we still don’t know the selling price of this card. In theory, it shouldn’t change, but the introduction of a more advanced heatsink could inflate the price.
