Earlier today, we told you about the Ryzen 7 9700X3D on PassMark. This time, it’s the Ryzen 5 7500X3D’s turn on Geekbench. As a reminder, this is one of the new Ryzen X3D processors we suspect the Reds are preparing.
Let’s see how Ryzen 5 7500X3D scores on Geekbench!
As a reminder, with this processor, we’re expecting a mid-range model equipped with six cores and twelve threads. It will also benefit from 96 MB of cache, as with higher-end models such as the potential future Ryzen 7 9700X3D or the current Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The reason is simple: the CCD containing the processor cores already embeds 32 MB of L3, while the 3D V-Cache array adds a further 64 MB of cache. The question of frequencies remains to be answered. As it stands, the software database reports a maximum frequency of 4.547 GHz.
As for the scores displayed by the software, the CPU obtains 2399 pts in single-core against 11232 pts in multi-core. By way of comparison, the CPU is positioned slightly below the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, a CPU with similar characteristics, but 8% faster, probably thanks to its advantageous operating frequencies. In fact, a 7600X3D is almost 2600 pts single-core versus 12000 pts multi-core.
The question now arises as to the worldwide availability of such a chip. The 7600X3D was launched exclusively by Micro Center and then MindFactory, before making a brief appearance in France via a German reseller. It’s not impossible that this model will follow an equivalent path, unless AMD decides to the contrary and launches its CPU globally, which, let’s face it, would offer a choice option for anyone wishing to build a gaming machine for not too much money. Let’s just say that this would compensate, to some extent, for the crazy RAM prices.
