Toughpower PT Platinum: 14 cm depth and up to 1200W power!

Thermaltake Toughpower PT PlatinumWith this series, Thermaltake offers us three new PC power supplies with power ratings of 850W, 1000W and 1200W. In terms of size, however, the casings are particularly compact, measuring just 14 cm in depth. This guarantees that these power supplies will fit into any ATX case on the market, even the Model 5, for example.

The electrical part of these power supplies promises to be solid, since they are certified 80 Platinum. This ensures efficiencies of up to 92%. Of course, these blocks comply with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards. They are also based on an LLC design with DC-DC converter. Of course, there’s also a single 12V rail and OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP and OTP protection.

Connections for the 1200W block include a 24-pin ATX coupled to two 4+4-pin CPUs. For the graphics cards, there are two 12V-2×6 rated at 600W and five PCIe 6+2-pin. Last but not least, the peripherals feature six SATA and four Molex.

As far as prices are concerned, they’re not all that exaggerated. The 850W model is priced at $129.99, the 1000W at $159.99 and the 1200W at $179.99. The warranty is 10 years.
