InWin presents a PC case with a truly distinctive design. Called Shift, it surpasses the originality of the atypical POC series. Aimed at enthusiasts looking for a platform with multiple possibilities (and the ability to be cleaned regularly), this chassis is inspired by the X Frame 2.0 model. Its modular, multi-purpose design means you can effortlessly switch from a test bench to a gaming setup or an exhibition build.
It’s a chassis we initially spotted at CES 2025 for its design, but the Shift goes further and may also be of interest to those who spend more time disassembling and reassembling their machine than using it. InWin prioritizes the Shift’s durability, right down to the smallest components. Its motherboard screw inserts are reinforced to withstand the multiple component changes that enthusiasts might make. It maintains firm stability whatever the chosen orientation, thanks to adjustable support feet that ensure balance on uneven surfaces. For vertical GPU mounting, InWin provides two tool-free brackets to secure the graphics card.
Then there’s the choice of what to do with the case. And here, the possibilities seem limitless. The three fan support arms can be rotated to any desired angle, while the GPU can be installed vertically or horizontally. The case can even be laid flat for use as a test bench. It supports two simultaneous power supplies, as well as motherboards with back-connect connectors from the Asus BTF and MSI Project Zero ranges. The side extensions, adjustable from 0° to 90°, also accommodate power supplies and storage units.
InWin Shift: the Swiss army knife?
The chassis accepts E-ATX motherboards up to 305 x 330 mm, graphics cards up to 350 mm long, any CPU cooler height and power supplies up to 280 mm deep. For heat dissipation, it can integrate up to nine 120 mm fans or three 360 mm liquid cooling radiators, enough for the craziest of custom loop builders. Last but not least, cable management anchors are integrated for perfect cable management and to show off installed components to their best advantage.
Some will find this concept with its countless possibilities frightening, others will find this Shift brilliant. We’ll let you be the judge. The Shift will be in very limited production, and is available at a very premium price of €449.99 from the brand’s European boutique.
