A cable-free RTX 5090 Stealth Ice from Gigabyte!

Gigabyte has come up with a new graphics card, an RTX 5090 with a hidden power connector. You’d think it would be a remote connector, as is the case with some ASUS models, but it’s not. Instead, we have a hidden compartment similar to that of Sapphire’s RX 9070 XT Nitro .

For the moment, we don’t have any photos of the location of the power connector, which is a shame. However, we can imagine a system similar to that used by Sapphire with its RX 9070 XT Nitro, as mentioned earlier. In fact, on this model, the power connector is installed at the rear of the PCB, while a slot is available in the heatsink. The whole assembly is then covered by a magnetic backplate that is easy to remove and replace.

In short, this system would allow Gigabyte to push its Stealth concept to the limit by even hiding the graphics card cable… Which hasn’t been the case until now. Currently, only ASUS seems to be going this far, offering a proprietary power connector integrated into the extension of the graphics card’s PCIe slot.

For the moment, it’s difficult to say more about this model, as further details are expected to emerge during Computex. However, we can guess that it will be a large model, probably occupying three slots in a PC case. Of course, this model will be white to match the B650 Aorus Stealth Ice, the only Gigabyte back-connect card currently available to our knowledge.
