Metal Master Dark Guard: a new case from Galax!
With this new model, the brand is bringing out a reference with an aquarium-style design. The front and side panels are made of glass, with no pillar at the front. What’s more, the power supply cover has a bevelled end, so you may or may not like it.
Be that as it may, it has some very interesting features, as it is compatible with the most common motherboard formats. It is also compatible with backpanel models in ATX and micro-ATX format.
Secondly, it boasts generous component compatibility. The CPU cooler is 180 mm high, while the graphics card is 400 mm long. Finally, as far as the power supply is concerned, a clearance of 200 mm in depth is offered.
Powerful ventilation is also available, with a total of eight slots for 120 mm fans. For watercooling, however, you’ll have to make do with a 280/360 mm radiator support at the top.
The storage aspect also remains very basic, with Galax announcing support for a 3.5″ hard drive and a 2.5″ SSD. The latter is most likely via a very basic two-slot cage.
Finally, the control panel will only offer the bare minimum, with one USB-A, one USB-C and a power button. If you want to connect several peripherals, you’ll have to use a hub.
In short, for around thirty euros, 249 yuan as a reminder, this is a case that offers excellent value for money.
