NVIDIA has published a new graphics driver with its 572.42 WHQL. The programme includes support for new G-Sync displays and new games. The NVIDIA App also benefits from new optimal settings profiles for new games.
572.42 WHQL, what’s new :
The new features include a driver that claims to be ‘ Game Ready ‘ for the latest games. These include Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLSS4, Avowed, Wuthering Waves DLSS Fame Generation and Civilization VII.
With this, we can count on the addition of support for new G-Sync screens. Five new references are supported by the Chameleon, including four AOCs: 27G4H, 25G4SXU, AG275QZM and Q24G4. Otherwise, there will be a single Philips model, the 27M2N5500L.
Last but not least, the NVIDIA App has new optimal settings profiles for Avowed, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Civilization VII… Although, as we’ve seen, Civ VII runs more or less on everything.
The fixes :
As well as the new features, patches are an important part of every new pilot. With this new version, the greens are fixing :
- In-game bugs :
- No more crashes when launching Valorant [4951583].
- The PC will no longer freeze when Final Fantasy XVI is released [5083532].
- When Resizable BAR is active, there will no longer be a drop in performance on certain PC configurations on Delta Force [5083758].
- General bugs:
- No more unusually low performance for Blackwell GPUs on 3DMark DXR Feature Test [5062329].
- Resolved incompatibility issue caused by incompatibilities between current and updated DLL files [5081921].
Some problems identified:
Finally, there are two problems identified by NVIDIA:
- Changing the state of “Show GPU activity icon in notification area” only takes effect once the PC has been rebooted [4995658].
- Weaker-than-expected performance with Blackwell GPUs in VRay 6’s CUDA Vpath test [4915763].
