Silverstone has added a new PC case to its range with the launch of its Lucid 04 model. While this model still has an aquarium look, its format sets it apart. In fact, this reference is designed for micro-ATX format motherboards. Despite its reduced size, it will still be able to accommodate full ventilation.
Lucid 04: a micro-ATX aquarium case!
From a design point of view, there’s not much to complain about: this model remains sober with its two glass panels. In itself, there are no frills, with a mesh lower section and glass at the top. The view of the configuration is clear, in short, it looks good.
In terms of dimensions, we’re inevitably dealing with a compact reference with dimensions of 230 (W) x 364.7 (D) x 456 (H) mm. Internally, the motherboard format is limited to micro-ATX and mini-ITX. For the graphics card, we’ll have a clearance of 350 mm in length, not enough to accommodate the largest models on the market in the near future, but still acceptable. Finally, as far as the CPU cooler is concerned, we have a height of 177 mm.
On the ventilation side, there are a total of seven 120 mm slots. Note that the top and rear of the case are 140 mm compatible. As for the AIO radiator, this Lucid 04 will accept 280 mm blocks at the top.
In terms of storage, we’re dealing with something fairly basic, since we’re talking about a simple HDD cage with two slots. Only one of them will accommodate a 2.5″ storage unit!
All that remains is to resolve the question of price, which is $72.99 in black versus $79.99 in white. White paint generally entails a higher cost, due to the smaller units produced.
