A new processor has been spotted on the net, and this CPU is the Core i5 14490F. We’d like to thank user @wxnod on X for the photo. In any case, it turns out to be a mid-range CPU with no integrated graphics.
Core i5 14490F: new model spotted online!
With this CPU, we’re dealing with a fourteenth-generation model that’s still largely unknown. However, it turns out that this model has a total of 10 cores, including 6 P-Core and 4 E-Core. Of course, the number of threads rises to 16.
In terms of frequencies, it boasts a base 2.5 GHz with a turbo of 5.1 GHz, an increase of 400 MHz over the 13490F. As for TDP, we’re sticking with a low 65W… Of course, it remains to be seen what the actual power consumption will be.
For the time being, this CPU is in a black box exclusive to the Chinese market. Now the question of availability remains: will it be available globally or not?
As for pricing, it’s reasonable to assume that it will replace the 13490F priced at $190. Of course, for this model, the absence of a graphics section symbolized by the suffix “F” is noteworthy.
