The minimum and recommended system requirements for Ubisoft’s upcoming game Skull and Bones have just been published. As a reminder, this Sea of Thieves like is due for release on PC and consoles on February 16!
Skull and Bones, do you have the right PC to play it?
As you can see, Ubisoft has put forward a number of interesting points. These include unlimited FPS, multi-screen and widescreen support (21:9 in particular). In addition, the title will support AMD’s ray tracing, DLSS and FSR.
As for configurations, the minimum machine to play in 1080p at 30 FPS will be accessible. We’re talking about a fourth-generation Core i7 and a Ryzen 5 1600. Graphics will be handled by a 6GB GTX 1060 or an 8GB RX 5500 XT, while 8GB of RAM is required.
For 1080p and higher details, the RAM requirement increases to 16 GB. On the processor side, you’ll need at least a six-core hyperthreading model. An i7 8700K or a Ryzen 5 3600X are listed. As for graphics, an RTX 2070 or an RX 6700 XT will be required. Note that 8 GB of VRAM seem to be required.
In 1440p (high/60 FPS), we switch to 8-core Intel CPUs with a 9700K, while we stay with six-core AMD CPUs (Ryzen 5 5600X). The graphics section has also been upgraded, with AMD RTX 3070s and RX 6800s.
Finally, in UHD Ultra details, a Core i5 11600K is requested, while the AMD part remains unchanged (Ryzen 5 5600X). However, the graphics section is making progress, with RTX 3080 and RX 6800 XT listed. However, we don’t expect crazy VRAM consumption, given that the RTX 3080 only has 10 GB of memory. To be continued, of course.
Of course, Ubisoft recommends using an SSD for storage. This avoids interminable loading times. As for space requirements, you’ll need to have 65 GB free.
