A new graphics card manufacturer has arrived on the market: Gitstar. We’re talking about a Chinese manufacturer offering us a card: the JH920. But don’t expect to get the same performance as NVIDIA in 4K with ray tracing just yet! With this model, the brand is announcing a small card offering performance similar to a GTX 1050!
Gitstar: the first card to rival the GTX 1050!
For the moment, it’s hard to say what we’re dealing with when it comes to graphics. Indeed, the actual configuration of the GPU remains unknown. However, the manufacturer is talking about a card with similar performance to the GTX 1050. What’s more, we can already count on support for a number of APIs. These include OpenGL 4.0, Vulkan 1.1, Open GL ES 3.2 and OpenCL 3.0. As for DirectX, the mystery remains!
Likewise, there’s a HEVC encoding engine that supports both H.265 and H.264. As for resolutions, the card is compatible with 4K at 60 fps via HDMI 2.0. Last but not least, the card supports various content creation applications. These include Photoshop and inDesign.
As for the card, it looks like any other model. It comes in a mini-ITX format with dimensions of 173.29 (W) x 126.35 (D), all on two slots. The cooling system remains basic, with a single fan blowing on a silly aluminum block. However, given the card’s 30W power consumption, do we need anything more? The answer is no. What’s more, this low power consumption means that the card doesn’t require an auxiliary power connector.
Last but not least, theoretical performance of 1.2 TFLOP in FP32. The card also claims to be compatible with AMD FSR, while the interface is PCIe 4.0 x8.
Let’s hope the card at least lives up to its promises, because, for the time being, ” made in China ” doesn’t look like much!
