Thermalright unveils its Assassin Spirit 120 Plus V2. This is a single-tower model equipped with two 120 mm fans. A cooler already mounted in push/pull mode for optimum performance out of the box.
Assassin Spirit 120 Plus V2: new Thermalright heatsink!
So we attack with this heatsink, which competes in the aircooling category. It’s also a heatsink that follows the current trend by offering rather compact dimensions. It measures 120 (W) x 48 (D) x 154 (H) mm. Just keep an eye on the depth when the two fans are fitted. With the mills in place, the depth increases to 98 mm.
The radiator remains fairly classic, featuring a simple stack of aluminum fins. These are crossed by a total of four 6 mm copper heat pipes. However, there’s no nickel-plated copper base here, as we’re dealing with direct contact with the processor. As for socket compatibility, this is a fan tray that can be mounted on Intel AM4/AM5 and LGA-115x/1200/1700 platforms.
Ventilation is provided by two 120 mm fans. However, the rear fan is unique in that it features ” reverse ” blades to maximize airflow. Its characteristics are as follows, with a maximum speed of 1500 rpm. At full speed, airflow will be 58 CFM, while static pressure will rise to 1.53 mmH2O.
The other fan will also be running at a maximum speed of 1500 rpm. On the other hand, airflow will increase to 66.17 CFM, while static pressure remains unchanged.
This time, the selling price is known, and is €33.31 on Amazon (via button below), via Amazon UK. This makes it a model to seriously consider if you’re looking for an entry-level heatsink for your configuration.
