From Thermalright, we learn of a new product in the company of Heilos pads. Simply put, these are thermal pads for the processor. No need to worry about the correct way to apply the thermal paste.
Heilos: pads for the CPU!
The program includes two pad variants, one measuring 30 x 40 mm for Intel platforms. The second measures 40 x 40 mm for AMD processors. In all cases, thickness is limited to 0.2 mm.
Naturally, these pads are electrically non-conductive, while their thermal conductivity is 8.5 W/mk. Thermal resistance is 0.04° cm²/W, equivalent to Arctic MX-4.
These pads are therefore compatible with Intel LGA-1700/1200/115X processors. On the AMD side, we find support for both AM4 and AM5 models. As you can see, application is simple, via an applicator. Once placed on the CPUIHS or cooler base, pull the tab and you’re done. All that’s left to do is mount the heatsink.
The big question now is how much this solution will cost, especially as it’s likely to be a single-use product.
