The RTX 3080 Ti 20GB is a card that NVIDIA had in the pipeline before deciding not to launch. The only problem was that the launch was cancelled at an advanced stage of development… So much so that brands like MSI were able to start producing finished products. We’re talking here about a Suprim model currently on sale on Facebook Marketplace!
RTX 3080 Ti 20 Go: a card for sale on social networks!
As a result, this famous 3080 Ti equipped with 20 GB of VRAM is having an interesting journey to find itself on sale on Facebook. Yes, originally, MSI was supposed to keep its card stock in-house, or even send it for destruction. This is what should have happened following NVIDIA’s cancellation, but it didn’t happen.
As it happens, the seller has listed his card at a price of $1100 AUD (Australian dollars), which currently works out at around €673.
At this price, the card is a collector’s item, but there is no official driver support. The buyer will therefore have to do without the optimizations and other performance gains provided by the majors.
On the other hand, it would appear that this model has an overclockable GPU, as evidenced by the screenshot left by the seller. Similarly, after a run on Time Spy, it appears that this model achieves a graphics score of 31083 pts, which is better than the 12 GB version. However, according to our colleagues, this score is also linked to the overclocking applied by the vendor.
