Recently, some NVIDIA graphics cards have been experiencing problems with display via the DisplayPort connector. Some users are complaining of white screens or even crashes on start-up. To correct this problem, the company has released a new vBios!
A new NVIDIA vBios to correct DisplayPort problems!
As we mentioned earlier, some graphics cards are experiencing problems with DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 video outputs. During start-up, some configurations display white screens or even crash. To rectify the problem, the Greens are releasing a new vBios for problematic cards. If you’re affected, you’ll need to update your card.
To do this, go to the brand’s website and download the utility in question. It will determine whether or not an update is necessary. Of course, before updating your card, you’ll need to have a working display. Here are a few ways around the problem provided by the Chameleon:
- Boot using DVI or HDMI
- Use a different screen
- Change boot mode from UEFI to Legacy or vice versa
- Boot using an alternative graphics source(iGPU or secondary CG )
Now, you should be aware that this concerns a number of models, as the GTX 1000, GTX 900 and GTX 700 all pose problems. The same applies to Titan X Maxwell and Pascal, Titan XP and Quadro Maxwell and Pascal.
