A new motherboard from ASRock, continuing the trend of soldered CPU models. The company has unveiled an N100DC-ITX, a board equipped with an Intel N100 processor. The advantage is that the configuration offers very low power consumption.

N100DC-ITX: after the µATX version, now it’sITX!

ASRock N100DC-ITXWith this motherboard, ASRock offers us a model in mini-ITX format, i.e. 17×17 cm. As you can see, connectivity has been reduced to the bare essentials. All that’s left is a DDR4 memory slot for up to 32 GB of memory running at 3200 MT/s. For the graphics card, this model features a PCIe 3.0 x4 connector. As for storage, we find an M.2 in PCIe 3.0 x2 coupled with two SATA. Lastly, an M.2 Key E is available for installing a WiFi module.

However, this board is distinguished by the presence of an Intel N100 processor soldered to the board. The latter features four E-Cores capable of reaching 3.4 GHz in turbo mode, while the TDP is ridiculous: just 6W.

At the rear, connectivity includes a PS2 combo for keyboard and mouse, as well as four USB-A 2.0 ports. We stay with the USBs, with two additional type-A ports in the 3.2 Gen1 standard. Video outputs are also present, with VGA coupled with HDMI. Finally, a serial port is present, as is Ethernet in Realtek 8111H (1 GbE) and audio in ALC897.

However, power supply will be via a 19V AC adapter. The socket is located on the motherboard’s I/O Shield .
