In China, ASRock launches a new motherboard with its N100M. In simple terms, this is a micro-ATX motherboard with an Intel CPU soldered directly onto the PCB. As a user, you’ll have a choice of graphics, RAM and storage.
N100M: a CPU soldered directly onto the motherboard!
With this board, ASRock offers us a model in micro-ATX format. It’s a model with basic but functional connectivity. There’s a PCIe x16 connector, operating at standard 3.0 and x2. A small PCIe x1 3.0 is also present. The memory section features a DDR4 slot for up to 32 GB of memory running at 3200 MT/s. Finally, two SATA and one M.2 PCIe 3.0 x2 are available for storage.
As you can see, we’ve got everything you need for a typical office configuration.
As for the processor, ASRock has opted for an Intel N100 CPU. This model is particularly economical, since it contains 4 E-Cores, without hyperthreading, running at a maximum of 3.4 GHz. It also features a passive aluminum heatsink as standard. Not much more is needed to cool the CPU’s 6W TDP.
As for price, via ITHome we learn that ASRock is launching its model at 1099 yuan, or around €143.
