With Gamescom over, we almost forgot that another event was opening its doors in Germany: the IFA. Intel is soberly present there and the marketing heads of the blue, Tom Peterson and Ryan Shrout, have given interesting information about their Arc GPUs to PCGamer, who had come to Berlin. They continue to be optimistic about the Arc GPUs. Intel is convinced to have the weapons, with its next A770 and A750 cards to be competitive with the RTX 30 series from Nvidia. Even better, they think they can take the greens at their own game and maybe even outperform them in terms of raytracing.

However, if we believe the information on this subject, only the big RTX 40s will be on the market in 2022, which leaves the field open for the mid-range (which still represents the largest volume). The other important point concerning the technologies brought by Intel is that the company has been concerned that all this does not involve developers in adaptations or additional development costs. The idea from the beginning was to provide almost “plug n play” technologies to facilitate adoption. Finally, regarding the positioning of these cards, Intel also claims its intention to be particularly aggressive.
