Small novelty at Biostar which announces a new motherboard. On the program, we find the B660T-Silver. A new model capable of hosting DDR4 memory, but which embeds a PCIe 5.0 standard connector!
B660T-Silver: between DDR4 and PCIe 5.0!
On the program, we find a motherboard in mini-ITX format. This one has a limited connectivity based on two DDR4 memory slots. Nevertheless, we can still install up to 64 GB of DDR4 clocked at 5000 MT/s. On the other hand, the PCIe x16 slot works with the latest 5.0 standard.
The storage part remains quite classic for a card of this format since we find four SATA III. These are supported by two M.2 2280 slots in PCIe 4.0 x4, one connected to the CPU, the second to the chipset.
Finally, the card embeds a Realtek RTL8125B chip for Ethernet management. On the audio side, we have the right to Realtek ALC1220 in 7.1. Finally, at the back, there is a PS/2 combo for keyboard and mouse and a video output HDMI and DisplayPort. The USB part offers four 3.2 Gen2 type A ports and two USB 2.0.
As usual, we will have to wait before knowing the price… Knowing that Biostar products are not the best distributed in our countries.
