The small GeForce GTX 1630 graphics card, which is intended to counter AMD and its RX 6400 and reposition Nvidia in the entry-level segment, could be launched next month. According to a leaked document put forward by Videocardz, Nvidia’s partners should launch this card on June 15. Partners only since this GTX will not have a reference version and therefore will have to rely on brands only.

GTX 1630 Regarding the datasheet of this card, no reason to get excited obviously. The GTX 1630 cards are based on the TU117-150 GPU from the Turing architecture. This chip offers a total of 512 CUDA cores with a frequency of 1.80 GHz. The cards are equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 @12 Gbps associated with a 64-bit memory interface. With its data we reach a bandwidth of 96 GB / s. These characteristics make it possible to obtain a measured TDP of 75W. If we stick to the data sheet alone, it seems likely that this 1630 is less powerful than the antediluvian GTX 1050 Ti… The debate will therefore be on the price where there are still some uncertainties. It is logical to think that NVIDIA could consider a price of $150 for this 1630. Let’s not forget that today we are starting to find GTX 1650 at decent prices (under 200€).
