Cougar announces the arrival of two new power supplies with the Polar models. These are available in two large power ratings of 1050W and 1200W. Moreover, these models can operate without problems in environments where the temperature reaches +50°C. Ironic considering the name they bear.
Polar: power supplies of over 1000W!
Concerning these blocks, as we told you, they display a strong power since there is nothing under 1000W. Indeed, the brand announces references of 1050W and 1200W, ideal powers for large machines with several graphics cards. Moreover, to feed the GPU, there is what it takes since we will find 9 PCIe 6+2 pin connectors, whatever the power. At least, unlike DeepCool there is no need to ask for it.
Otherwise, these models offer a large certification in 80+ Platinum. Internally, they also have Japanese capacitors in 105°C. Likewise, we have a single 12V rail that will show 87.5A for the 1050W and 100A for the 1200W. Finally, as far as electrical protection is concerned, there is everything you need: UVP, OCP, SCP, OVP, OTP and OPP. Note also that ambient temperatures of 50°C do not scare them!
For the moment, we don’t know the selling price yet. However, keep in mind that these are not compact references: 18 cm deep!
