23.10.2: AMD cuts Anti-Lag, at least temporarily!

0

A new driver update from AMD, releasing RADEON Software Adrenalin Edition version 23.10.2. This new version removes Anti-Lag support, at least temporarily. Clearly, the technology requires more work on the part of the reds. As it stands, it tends to titillate anti-cheat software a little too closely, particularly Valve’s!

Anti-Lag: functionality disabled for RADEON Software 23.10.2!

Lord of the Fallen - RADEON Software Adrenalin Edition 23.10.2As we told you, with this new version, Anti-Lag 23.10.2 has been turned off. Wouldn’t it be a shame to see all Counter Strike 2 players banned because of it? Pending a rework, this second October release builds on the first. It offers support for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, The Lord of the Fallen and Forza Motorsport.

The list of patches remains unchanged, highlighting :

  • Correction of intermittent crashes in Starfield with an RX 7000.
  • The driver will no longer crash in game on Counter Strike 2 with MSAA and FSR active with the RX 7900 XTX.
  • Improved in-game stuttering on Counter Strike 2.
  • EA Sports FC 24 could fail to open correctly with certain RADEON graphics products such as the RX 7800 XT. Now fixed!
  • No more freezes or black screens when playing certain video files with RX 6000s.
  • No more intermittent display freezes after a change of encoding format when streaming certain games with AMD Link.

The same goes for known problems, which you can read about right here.

Basically, it’s the same driver, but without the Anti-Lag . As for downloading, this is the place to go:
