Forza Motorsport: a poorly optimized game?

0

In six days’ time, the Forza Motosport game will be released to the general public. However, some people have already been able to get their hands on it, including Wccftech, who were able to check out the performance obtained on the title. Despite a configuration higher than that recommended by the studio, it doesn’t run very well!

Forza Motorsport: 49 FPS at best in UHD with an RTX 4090!

In order to play the game in good conditions, the studio recommends the use of the following components:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X – Intel Core i7 11700K
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 – AMD RADEON RX 7900 XT

Of course, this configuration allows you to enjoy the title at full graphics settings, all in 2160p.

On the other hand, our colleagues are equipped with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D-based configuration, 32 GB RAM and an RTX 4090. Despite this high-energy machine, the framerate struggles to take off in UHD. Indeed, using the integrated benchmark tool, the title runs at 39 fps with ray tracing enabled and DLSS in performance mode. Under the same conditions, but without ray tracing, the framerate is slightly better: 49 FPS.

Nevertheless, Wccftech points out that the integrated benchmark is quite demanding, since the scene takes place at night and in the rain. Ray tracing effects are therefore strongly present. In a video, we can see the game running in milder conditions: daylight. Here, the frame rate rises again, although intermittent drops can be observed!
