be quiet! announces the release of a 12VHPWR adapter cable for the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 graphics cards. This 12VHPWR cable (12 + 4 pin) is of course intended for be quiet!
This cable is an alternative to the standard, bulky and short adapters that come with next-generation graphics cards such as NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080 models. It features a sleek black jacket and allows the card to be connected to compatible be quiet! power supplies via two PCI-Express sockets for up to 600 watts of power.
Although the 12VHPWR adapter cable works with all current be quiet! modular power supplies with at least two PCI-Express sockets, users should check the recommendations of their graphics card manufacturer. Also, don’t forget to check that your be quiet! power supply is compatible with this 12VHPWR cable. We will use it in the lab with the 1500 watt Dark Power Pro 12 power supply.
Ahead of future graphics card launches, be quiet! is also working on ATX 3.0 compatible power supplies. The Dark Power 13 is scheduled for launch in early 2023, with the Dark Power Pro 13 to follow a little later. Other be quiet! power supply lines already on the market will also be optimized for ATX 3.0 compatibility in the near future. The 12VHPWR cable is now available for purchase at a recommended price of 19.90 euros in Europe, and not yet available in the US.
