Gigabyte announces a new card with its Z690 UD AX DDR4 WiFi, a new model rather affordable… Affordable for Z690 of course. In fact, this model is a DDR4 declination of an already existing DDR5 model.
Z690 UD AX DDR4 WiFi: the DDR4 version of its DDR5 counterpart!
With this new model, Gigabyte offers us a card in ATX format quite classic. It is equipped with a LGA-1700 socket and a Z690 chipset from Intel. On top of that, we have four DDR4 memory slots that can hold up to 128 GB of RAM at 5333 MT/s.
The rest of the data sheet is identical to its DDR5 counterpart. Indeed, we will find a PCIe 5.0 x16, two PCIe x16 running in x4 and two PCIe x1. The storage part benefits from six SATA III connectors and three M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4.
The power supply circuit also has 16+1+2 power phases with a CPU taking advantage of two EPS12V connectors in 4 and 8 pins.
At the back, we have nine USB type A and a single USB type C. The PS2 combo is always present, as is the Ethernet in Realtker, the audio in Realtek and the WiFi 6. Finally, we note the presence of two video outputs in HDMI and DisplayPort.
For the price, Guru3D talks about 229 euros.
