Z690 Classified : a first Z690 motherboard for EVGA !

This morning, we are also going to talk about EVGA and motherboards since the brand announces its Z690 Classified. This is the first model for the brand with this chipset. As usual, we are dealing with a well-built model and well supplied in terms of functionality.

Z690 Classified : Alder Lake-S invites itself to EVGA !

EVGA Z690 Classified With this first model, the brand offers us a motherboard in E-ATX format. However, there is no need to worry about the connections, as the PCB is cut out to make them easier, especially for the 24-pin ATX connector and USB 3.0.

The board in question is well built and there are heatsinks everywhere. The power supply part has a big block of aluminum fins with two fans… At the same time, it takes what it takes to cool down the 19 phases that it embeds. Still in connection with the CPU power supply, two EPS12V 8 pins are also present!

The rest of the connectivity remains quite classic since there are two PCIe x16 5.0 operating in x8/x8 when they are both occupied. A last PCIe closes the step at the bottom.

The storage part benefits from a total of eight SATA III connectors as well as three M.2 in PCIe 4.0. The latter are placed between the PCIe and benefit from a large and imposing radiator for cooling.

Regarding memory, EVGA plays the DDR5 card with four DIMM slots that can accommodate up to 128 GB of memory clocked at 6400 MHz.

Finally, this model offers two debug LEDs as well as buttons for out of the box booting. The same goes for the voltage measurement directly from the card thanks to a ProBelt connector. At the back, the connectivity is also very complete with a double USB type C, HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. There are also CMOS reset and bios update buttons, dual Ethernet and WiFi antenna ports.

Finally, this model will clearly not be cheap: $629.99!

This way to the EVGA datasheet!
