XTIA, the brand best known for its Xproto chassis, returns with a surprise new model. At a time when open-air chassis are booming and references are multiplying, we discover a micro-ATX model: the XTIA Xproto-Z.

XTIA Xproto-Z: lots of new features

XTIA Xproto-ZWith this new version of the Xproto, XTIA is not content to simply build on the success of previous versions. In fact, it’s a clear departure from them, innovating on every level.

The first highlight is the form factor. The chassis is designed for micro-ATX motherboards, which are also enjoying a resurgence of interest at the moment. A pertinent choice that avoids ITX constraints while maintaining a reasonable footprint.

The XTIA Xproto-z is all about modularity. Without giving precise details, the brand announces a wide support on the GPU side, an AIO slot (at least up to 360 mm) and an ATX power supply module. All components, including the front panel, are independent and repositionable.

Perforated panel and VESA support

XTIA Xproto-ZThe main structure consists of a universalpegboard. As well as allowing the frame components to be freely attached, it is compatible with accessories from other brands (IKEA comes to mind). The concept is really well thought-out and fits in with a logic of space optimization that suits the XTIA philosophy.

XTIA Xproto-ZAnd that’s not all! A VESA mounting hole completes the picture. In this way, the perforated panel (and why not the complete PC) can be used attached to a screen arm or other support of this type.

XTIA is a leader in the very special market of open chassis. There’s no doubt that this new model will shake things up.

The XTIA Xproto-z is listed on the brand’s official website for €113 on its own and €139 with a PCIe 5.0 riser.
