Xeon W9-3495X: new Cinebench R23 world record

The Xeon Sapphire Rapids from Intel continue to make the news, but this time, they show off in overclocking. Indeed, the Xeon W9-3495X takes a world first place on Cinebench R23. For this, we can count on OGS’ skills for the OC!

The Xeon W9-3495X clocked at 5.4 GHz = 1st place worldwide on Cinebench R23!

In fact, this “small” Xeon was mounted on a motherboard from Asus. For this record OGS did not do things by halves since it opted for a PRO WS W790E-SAGE SE (we talked about it here). With this, the RAM was from G.Skill (who organizes a new edition of the OC World Cup) since it was a Zeta R5.

During the exercise, the CPU was overclocked which allowed it to reach the frequency of 5.4 GHz on all its 56 cores. And yes, this is also one of the particularities of Sapphire Rapids: theOC. Anyway, to keep the processor cool, we were entitled to a bucket full of liquid nitrogen.

Xeon W9-3495X record du monde

In any case, coupled with 128 GB of RAM running at 2912 MHz, the score falls: 132484 cb on Cinebench R23. For OGS, this means a world first place on the software. In addition, it ranks first in the 56-core CPU and Xeon W9-3495X categories. It is therefore ahead of safedisk and its 128391 cb with the same CPU. At the same time, it beats the 121215 cb of rog-fisher and its Threadripper PRO 5995WX.
