We continue with Acer which, via its Predator brand, offers us a new screen, the XB283K KV. It is about a monitor of 28″ UHD equipped with a fast IPS slab. But that’s not all, as it has other surprises in store for us.
XB283K KV: UHD in 144 Hz via an IPS panel from Acer!
With this screen, Acer offers us, via a 28″ IPS panel, a reference displaying UHD resolution. However, this panel will be reactive since it displays a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a latency of 1 ms gray to gray. Note also the NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility (from 48 Hz to 144 Hz).
In terms of features, this model has a brightness of 400 cd/m² with a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. In terms of colorimetry, it displays a coverage of 90% of the DCI-P3 color range. Finally, the horizontal/vertical viewing angles are 178° and we have an HDR400 certification.
That said, this screen is also distinguished by the presence of a photosensitive sensor placed at the base of the monitor. It will allow an automatic adjustment of brightness and color temperature depending on the ambient lighting. Finally, if you do not look at the screen, it will darken and finally turn off.
In terms of connectivity, this model offers DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, two HDMI 2.1 and a USB 3.0 HUB. Similarly, we have a USB type delivering up to 65W for charging your devices and it will also act as a DisplayPort input. Of course, two speakers of 2x 2W are part of the game.
