MindFactory is clearly known for selling large quantities of AMD hardware specifically. Whether for graphics cards, processors or motherboards, sales volumes of the Reds have often been disproportionately high. In this week 47, sales of AMD motherboards account for over 90% of the retailer’s total. The B850 chipset alone outsells all Intel motherboards combined.
The B850 sells more than all Intel motherboards combined!
To put it simply, in this forty-seventh week of the year, MindFactory will have sold a total of around 2050 units. Of these boards, 90.7% are equipped with an AMD socket, and only 9% with an Intel socket. In fact, only 190 Intel boards were sold, compared with 1860 AMD boards. Worst of all, sales of the LGA-1851 are still not taking off. We’re talking about 65 boards equipped with this new socket, i.e. 3.2%!
The chipset that rules them all is, of course, the B850, which accounts for 43.3% of sales volume, followed by the B650 with a 25.3% share. High-end chipsets such as the X870E and X870 account for only a small percentage: just 10 and 8.7% respectively. However, stats for Intel chipsets have not been provided, probably for reasons of lack of sales.
By manufacturer, MSI came out on top, accounting for 40.5% of sales volume, followed by ASRock at 27.4% and Gigabyte (25.8%). Finally, this week, ASUS and Biostar come in last with 5.8% and 0.5% respectively. Incidentally, the best-selling board this week was an MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi, with 130 sales!
Finally, in terms of revenue, MindFactory generated €321,884 (92.29%) from sales of AMD boards, compared with €26,888 (7.71%) for Intel boards. The average selling price for AMD boards is therefore €173, compared with €142 for Intel boards.
