In August 2020, the Cougar brand announced the arrival of a new keyboard on the market. Indeed, the Vantar AX landed with its 15.5 mm height only. A model designed for lovers of laptop-style keys!
Vantar AX: pink and black for Cougar’s slim keyboard!
With these new versions, the company maintains the typical format of its keyboard. Thus, the height remains very contained with only 15.5 mm. To achieve this, the brand uses scissor-type membrane switches, the same type as on laptop keyboards.
Otherwise, we still find the anodized aluminum cover plate that seems particularly neat. Indeed, we can count on rounded edges giving it a very refined look.
Otherwise, it is a rather basic model since we will find a 19-Key Rollover for example. The same goes for the RGB lighting with eight pre-programmed lighting effects. Finally, the cord may be a little short with only 1.6 m!
In the end, the main novelty concerns the colors since we find black with solid keys and pink with transparent keys. At least, the brand brings a little originality by the slim format and the pink color not very common on the sector.
For the price, the few traces we could find on the net place it at about sixty euros!
