Turtle Beach has just announced a whole new series of gaming peripherals. The least we can say is that the brand is going all out, especially when it comes to screens, which can even be integrated into mice. In fact, we’ll be talking about keyboards in a second article, but now it’s time to focus on mice: three models have been announced!

Turtle Beach: a mouse series with an integrated touchscreen!

MC7: a wireless mouse with touchscreen!

Turtle Beach MC7

The MC7 is clearly the spearhead of the series, since it’s this model that brings together all the high-end features of the series. The first thing you won’t want to miss is the integrated touchscreen. This benefits from OBS Studio integration, enabling you to launch applications, mute your microphone, mute the sound, etc.

This wireless mouse also comes with two batteries that can be easily swapped when one is empty. Recharging is via the included charging dock, which will house the mouse’s receiver. In terms of autonomy, we’re talking about 10h, 15h if the RGB is switched off and the screen turned off.

Otherwise, the technical specifications include a 30,000 DPI Owl Eye optical sensor and Titan Optical micro-switches. In short, this is the top-of-the-range model.

MC5: the mid-range model, still wireless!

Turtle Beach MC5

The MC5 is the mid-range model that retains wireless connectivity, but does without the touchscreen. Likewise, although it retains a battery, it will remain internal and will not be hoswappable like the MC7.

Otherwise, the rest of the specification sheet remains similar, with its Owl Eye 30K optical sensor, Titan Optical micro-switches and 4D thumbwheel. It also incorporates the EasyShift function, which adds a layer of macros to each button that can be programmed at the touch of a button.

As for buttons, there’s plenty to choose from, with a large one next to the left click and three others surrounding the thumb. Let’s not forget to mention the presence of a second thumbwheel just above the thumb slot.

MC3: same shape as the MC5, but wired!

Turtle Beach MC3

Finally, the MC3 completely dispenses with the wireless system, becoming a 100% wired model. It retains the same sensor and micro-switches as its predecessors, as well as the same general shape.

Beware, however, that these are big mice, with dimensions of 77.66 (W) x 127.47 (D) x 44.66 (H) mm. As for weight, this MC5 shows 85g on the scales compared with 100g for the MC5 and 137 for the MC7!

Pricing:

Strangely enough, the sales prices are “affordable”, with the MC7 with its two batteries and screen priced at €159.99! Then there’s the MC5, a wireless model without screen, priced at €119.99, compared with €79.99 for the 100% wired MC3.
