New generation of RAM = new performances. That’s what G.Skill announces with its newly unveiled Trident Z5 memory kits. However, a new press release from the brand reveals kits turbinating at 6800 MT/s, the fastest DDR5 to date!
Trident Z5: 6800 MT/s kits!
The brand is announcing a dual-channel set that runs at 6800 MT/s. In terms of capacity, we are talking about a kit of 32 GB, or two 16 GB strips each. In terms of timing, the brand reveals latencies of 38-38-38-76. In addition, a second kit shows up, still clocked at 6800 MT/s, the timings are a bit higher with 42-42-42-76. Nevertheless, we have no idea about the voltage needed for them to work properly. Anyway, we have the right to XMP 3.0 compatibility.
Otherwise, we find the design freshly developed by the brand with an asymmetrical heatsink. On the top, we always have the right to a small touch of RGB with a rather discreet light bar… Or not… It remains to be seen in which version these modules will be offered. In the meantime, be careful about your cooling system that might not go over the RAM.
Once again, the price remains unknown…
