G.Skill continues to release its Trident Z5 memory in multiple kits. This time, the brand announces sets with 6400 MT/s frequencies, but with low timings.
Trident Z5: 6400 MT/s for low latencies!
We know the Trident Z5 RAM series since we had the opportunity to review it at this address.
For the time being, the memory itself does not change and these high-frequency kits are available in black, silver and RGB versions. On the other hand, you will have to pay attention to the height of the kits according to the heatsink you are using, especially in the case of a big aircooling fan!
Regarding the characteristics of the kits, we have the right to dual channel sets of 16 GB (2 x 8 GB). The frequency, inevitably, is high with 6400 MT/s. Nevertheless, what interests us here are the timings since the brand announces 32 – 39 – 102. The voltage will be quite important in view of the JEDEC standard (1.1V) since we are running at 1.4V!
We quickly finish with the pricing which is completely slammed (at LDLC) since it is around 710 € in non-RGB. With a lighting, we hit 730 €, yes, you have to have the means … But the current situation clearly does not help.
