Trend: purple thermal paste…

0

When you work in the marketing department and have to deal with thermal pastes, you really have to be very creative to have an original approach. And that’s where Cooler Master comes in with the magic formula. So the secret is a material with current colors that would look great when applied. CryoFuze Violet (a purple thermal paste) could have been approved by Prince himself if he were still around. Of course, this story will give you a short-lived effect since you are supposed to put a cooling system on top of it 🙂 But hey, let’s stop with the usual sarcasm because Cooler Master didn’t want to release this paste just to be in harmony with the herds of unicorns we meet every day.

CryoFuze Violet: no unicorns were mistreated in the making of this paste.

Seriously, is this thermal paste really purple?

Indeed Cooler Master positions this paste on the high-end segment and therefore it is necessary to have a little more arguments than the color. The company says that its CryoFuze Violet is composed of nanoparticles that provide improved thermal conductivity. The non-corrosive, oxidation-resistant formula was developed in-house. So its new CryoFuze Violet thermal paste is said to be able to maintain stability at -50C, and hold up to 240C (we don’t quite understand the point). Cooler Master says that the heat transfer is rated at 12.6 W/mK, making it a high-end thermal compound.

Cooler Master’s release:

Cooler Master is introducing a new addition to the CryoFuze thermal paste series, CryoFuze Violet. Featuring a purple-tinted compound, the nanoparticles in the composition provide excellent thermal conductivity on all processing components. The balanced viscosity and electrically isolated composition provide exceptional bonding with effortless application and cleanup. CryoFuze Violet is non-corrosive and oxidation resistant, leaving contact surfaces unharmed, while preventing solidification and drying. CryoFuze Violet offers a versatile range of temperature performance, maintaining stability from -50°C to 240°C.
