Transcend has announced a new version of its MTE250 SSD, a 4TB version, whereas the series stopped at 2TB when it was launched!
MT250 : a 4Tb version to complete the range !
With this series, the brand was already offering SSDs equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, all in M.2 2280 format. We also notice that two versions are proposed. The first one benefits from an extruded aluminum heatsink while the second one has a thin graphene model.
Internally, we find the memory type 3D TLC NAND as well as a memory controller that uses a DRAM cache.
In terms of performance, Transcend announces sequential speeds of 7.5 GB / s in reading against 6.5 GB / s in writing. The random performance is 540k IOPS in reading and 440k IOPS in writing. Finally, the endurance shows 3120 TBW.
Of course, it remains to know the selling price, but we know that the warranty is 5 years.
