Microsoft is aware of the worries of RGB effects lovers who have to use third-party applications to enjoy the benefits of rainbow lights. Windows 11: an RGB friendly update…

Recently, a beta tester published screenshots showing the beginnings of these new features. We discover a section “Lighting” of the Customize page of the operating system settings. It lists the lighting devices connected to the machine, which will give you different customization options when you click on them. This includes settings for brightness, lighting effect, effect speed, and a single button-activated option that allows you to match the Windows theme and RGB ambience. The feature was included in Build 25295, released on Thursday but surprisingly it is not detailed or even mentioned in the changelog. It is possible that this feature will be officially released in the “Moment 3” major update of Windows 11. Concretely, this function could allow to control several RGB accessories without having to collect the respective brands’ apps like the suites released by Razer, Corsair and Logitech for example. However, at this moment we do not know yet how the functionality will coexist with the specificities of the different brands.

A little extra, you’ll have understood, but nothing more… We still don’t know if your RGB will start flashing like a flashing light every time Microsoft sends your data without asking you
