Thermaltake announces its Toughram XG RGB D5 memory… At last, new kits. In fact, this time the RAM will reach high frequencies, including 7600 MT/s and 8000 MT/s.

Toughram XG RGB D5: very fast kits!

thermaltake memory marketing materialWe’re well acquainted with the RAM in question, as the series has been the subject of several articles. However, you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve come up with some neat modules with attractive heatsinks. The latter feature an attractive finish followed by an asymmetrical design. On the top, we find a diffuser for luminous lighting. Two colors are available: white and black.

In terms of frequencies, the kits are capable of reaching 8,000 MT/s. The brand also offers a second, slightly slower version at 7600 MT/s. In all cases, the capacity is 16 GB on two modules (2×16 GB). Timings are 38-48-48-128, all for a voltage of 1.50V.

Last but not least, they are designed for Intel’s Z790 platforms for fourteenth-generation CPUs, although they will work just as well with thirteenth- or twelfth-generation CPUs. XMP3.0 compatibility is also assured.

All we can do now is wait for the memory to hit the stores, as we don’t yet know the retail price.
