Thermalright announces its new Assassin Spirit 120 Evo Dark aircooling heatsink. This is a standard heatsink with four heat pipes in direct contact with the CPU. What sets it apart, however, is its all-black finish!
Assassin Spirit 120 Evo Dark: an all-black heatsink from Thermalright!
With this heatsink, we’re back to a compact reference with a contained height of 156 mm. Otherwise, it won’t be very big, measuring 120 (W) x 48 (D) without a fan.
The radiator structure is fairly basic, with a stack of aluminum fins crossed by a total of four copper heat pipes. These come into direct contact with the processor. However, the brand makes the effort to eccentricate its base so as not to pose any compatibility problems with RAM.
As you can see, the finish is meticulous, with a top cover that conceals the heat pipes. Otherwise, we’re treated to an all-black coating on the fins and heatpipes.
Ventilation is provided by a 120 mm TL-E12B V2 fan. This will operate at up to 1850 rpm. At full speed, the airflow generated will be 70.4 CFM, while static pressure will rise to 2.64 mmH2O.
