Assassin X 120 Plus V2: a new push/pull heatsink from Thermalright!
With this new heatsink, the brand offers us a rather compact reference. It measures 120 (W) x 96 (D) x 154 (H) mm including fans. On the scales, the heatsink alone weighs 545g.
The radiator’s structure remains rather classic, featuring a simple stack of aluminum fins. These are crossed by a total of four copper heat pipes, each 6mm in diameter. Finally, they are joined by a nickel-plated copper base, which appears to be off-center.
On the ventilation side, the brand offers its TL-C12B V2 and TL-C12RB V2. Both benefit from a PWM power supply and operate at 1500 rpm. While the static pressure displayed remains the same at full speed: 1.53 mmH2O, the airflow differs. The C12B generates 66.17 CFM of airflow versus 58 CFM for the C12RB.
Finally, the list of compatible sockets is limited to mainstream platforms, with Intel’s LGA-1000 and AMD’s AM4/AM5.
