As you know, NVIDIA has launched some new graphics cards. The cards in question are the RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super. However, two of them are intended to replace original models… And these models have reached ‘End of Life ‘ status!

The RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti at the end of their lives!

RTX 4080 With its 4080S and 4070 Ti Super, NVIDIA was planning to replace its non-Super counterparts. It has to be said that the original 4080 was in trouble, especially in the face of the RTX 4090, which offered a better performance/price ratio. In fact, this was a card that was shunned by customers, as we learned that this model was not selling and that it was cluttering up retailers’ stocks more than anything else.

Now, when we see what the Chameleon offers instead of these two cards, we’re not going to be sulky… On the contrary. With the 4080S, the company is offering us a slightly more powerful card, with the same amount of memory. However, the interesting thing here is the price. Yes, the company is officially announcing its card at $999, compared with $1199 for the original version, i.e. a lower price.

Like the 4070 Ti Super, the card also features a larger GPU with more Cuda cores. However, the memory is also up by 33.33%, from 12GB to 16GB, and the price remains unchanged at $799.

Finally, over the next few weeks, the 4080 and 4070 Ti will gradually disappear from the shelves, to be replaced by their Super counterparts. It’s not impossible that one-off promotions will be applied, but we’re not sure.
