The RDNA2 refresh close by?

0

We recently mentioned AMD’s intention to redesign its RDNA2 range with a refresh of certain references. A decision that could make you smile considering the total disappearance of the reds from the graphics card market for a few months. Nevertheless, the arrival of Intel on the market seems to shake the two historical players that are AMD and Nvidia. The refresh of the RDNA2 range seems to target the potential new references that Intel will launch soon.

RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT in Q2 2022

The latest rumors suggest that AMD will launch three new graphics cards from its RDNA2 Refresh line. These new cards would be the Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and potentially an RX 6650 XT. What will be the nature of the evolution of these cards? For the moment we are moving towards the use of faster GDDR6 18 Gbps memory chips on these 3 references. It was previously mentioned for higher clock speeds for the RX 6950 XT as well as a higher TDP thanks to a better performance of the GPUs. For a while, the move to 6nm was talked about but it seems that AMD will not go in that direction. We can expect the other two cards to receive similar treatment. A launch for April is envisaged while despite a certain relaxation (at least on the side of Nvidia), the problem of the real availability of cards is still present on the market. Finally, AMD maintains that its RDNA3 range will arrive this year. So you’ll have to be particularly fine in your choices to find and buy a graphics card in 2022.
