Yesterday was January 16, 2025, and it was the occasion for Intel to launch a new graphic card: the Arc B570. With this new card, the company completes its range of next-generation cards with an even more affordable reference. This model is priced at $220, which is $30 less than the Arc B580 we tested at this address.
The Arc B570 launched for $220, or… 320 € (WTF!?!)!
More concretely, this graphic card is an entry/mid-range model from Intel. This model benefits from the blue Battlemage architecture and features an 18-core Xe2 GPU with 2304 shaders, 144 TMUs and 80 ROPs.
As for memory, Intel is offering a card equipped with 10GB of GDDR6 memory on a 160-bit bus. Clearly, this card will be more at home with recent games than other models equipped with 8GB of VRAM. PCGamesHardware’s recent test is clear on the subject. Moreover, the bandwidth here is 380 GB/s.
The bottom line is that this card is good for 1080p gaming, and that’s no problem. However, to play in 1440p, you’ll need to make a little effort on the graphics details to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, or even opt for upscaling with a little XeSS.
Unfortunately, in France, the price of the card is, umm, a bit steep. In fact, the price has gone from $219 officially to 320€ in our country. Fortunately, some retailers are more serious than others about prices. What’s more, only ASRock’s Challenger model is currently available in our country. For more exotic models, you’ll certainly have to turn to Amazon and its third-party vendors to hope to find Gunnir or Sparkle cards, for example… That’s if you want to give it a go.
