While Intel ‘s Z790 motherboards are now available for purchase, we are still waiting for the entry/mid-range models. Nevertheless, details are trickling in, as was the case with the B760 MAG Tomahawk from MSI. And now it’s the case with the B760A-Silver from Biostar which the German retailer Geizhals leaked.

Geizhals leaks Biostar B760A-Silver!

Biostar B760A-SilverWith this new model, Biostar offers us a motherboard in standard ATX format. This board has a LGA-1700 socket and an Intel B760 chipset, so it’s ready to host 12th and 13th generation Intel CPUs.

As you can see on the diagram, the board has four DDR5 memory slots. The rest of the connectivity features two PCIe x16 named PCIEX16_1 and PCIEX16_2. Of these, the first will operate at the 5.0 standard in x16, the second will be at the 4.0 standard while being wired in x4. Finally, two small PCIe x1 3.0 complete the march.

The storage part highlights three M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4 for storage. Note that one slot will be compatible with SSD M.2 22110 while the other two are compatible M.2 2280. Finally, a last slot is part of the party and will host a WiFi module while four SATA close the march.

Of course, the card offers different headers among which we find USB 2.0/3.2 in type A. A last header with the 3.2 standard but in type C is also present.

The rear connectivity features HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. Otherwise, we will be entitled to five USB-A 3.1, two USB-A 2.0 and a USB-C 3.1. The network part includes an Ethernet driven by a Realtek RTL8125B chip in 2.5 Gbps. And we finish with the audio part in Realtek ALC1220.

For the moment, no price is known.
