Steam GTX 1650

For the month of June, there’s no mystery about the fact that NVIDIA cards are still in the majority on the platform. In fact, 76.05% of gamers use a GeForce, 15% a RADEON and 8.66% an Intel chip (not necessarily Arc). In detail, the GTX 1650 takes the lion’s share of usage with 5.67%. Nevertheless, this share is declining: -0.40ace to May 2023.

As for processors, the Intel/AMD split is as follows: 67.38% for Intel versus 32.62% for AMD. Six-core processors are also on the rise, with 33.20 PCs equipped with them. But this trend is losing momentum: -1.52% compared with the previous month. The number of eight-core CPUs is up: 1.83% (20.79 th total share) on May 2023.

Now, overall, the typical configuration of Steam gamers is made up of :

  • CPU: six cores running from 2.3 GHz to 2.69 GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Graphics card: GTX 1650
  • Storage: > 1 TB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080

So, despite brand marketing, most gamers aren’t running RTX 4080/RX 7900 XT(X) and Core i9 13900KS or Ryzen 7950X3D!
