The Alder Lake “classics” in January

So far, Intel has only officially launched the “K” versions of its 12th generation Alder Lake processors(you can find our test here), which are “unlocked” models with a high-end positioning. This could change as early as January.

The “non-K” Alder Lake from January

Some leaks from manufacturers like Dell have allowed us to obtain information on what Intel will release for the rest of its range, including “low-end” processors without integrated graphics, which is a decision already announced on previous generations under the name of F chip (like i5 1xxxx F for example). An information released by @momomo_us, seems to confirm that the Intel Alder Lake ‘no K’ processors will be on sale in mid-January. These processors should lower the cost of acquisition of Alder Laker and they should be accompanied by the first motherboards Intel B660 and Intel H670 The existence of non-K CPUs without integrated graphics and the arrival of motherboards with a “softer” price could accentuate the success of the twelfth generation of Intel. Indeed, some references like the i5 12400F are particularly expected to build machines with an interesting performance/price ratio. It is likely that many references of B660 motherboards offer DDR4 in order to lower the starting price.
