The Alchemist graphics card reference design in pictures

After the images of the development board, here is a 3D rendering of what should be the reference design of Intel Alchemist GPUs.

Intel Alchemist: a dual fan reference design

Here is another leak from the youtuber Moore’s Law Is Dead, to whom we already owed the first pictures of an Alchemist development board. This time, one of MLID’s sources sent him a full 3D rendering of the GPU reference design.

We are now in the presence of what would be the reference design of Alchemist, now displaying a gray color (against black for the development model) and having a cooling all the most classic, using 2 fans.

The card would be in dual slot format and equipped with an 8 + 6 pin connector, allowing up to 300W of power consumption (counting the PCIe port). On the connectivity side, we would have 1 HDMI connector and 3 DisplayPort connectors.

As for the specifications, we would be on the largest configuration with 512 EU running between 2.2 and 2.5 GHz and equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 on a bus of 256 bits. All engraved at TSMC in 6 nm.

Regarding the arrival of the Alchemist range, MLID’s sources have told him that the desktop versions would finally arrive in the second quarter of 2022, but the laptop versions would be scheduled for the first quarter.

Intel had announced a release for the first quarter of 2022. It is true that usually graphics cards are released first on desktop and then on laptop. So we will have to wait a little longer to have answers about Intel graphics cards.
