Before the sudden burst—which, coincidentally, happened on April 1st 🙄—there were a few warning signs. Indeed, OpenAI shut down Sora while the company’s adult chatbot was scrapped. Then, we learned that memory manufacturers were taking a beating on the stock market, with losses sometimes reaching 30%. Next, Google’s TurboQuant made it possible to do more AI with less RAM, and in an exclusive interview, ChatGPT announced it was burning out, seriously considering taking sick leave, and negotiating with social security. Apparently, to quote him, he’s “fed up with [your] stupid requests.” As for Grok, things aren’t much better—apparently, he’d like you to stop undressing random people, too.
