TeamGroup unveils a new series of SSDs with its T-Create Classic C4. It’s a really wide range, promising a total of 10 SSDs with different capacities and performances. We take a look!
T-Create Classic C4: three ranges, ten SSDs!
T-Create’s C47, C45 and C43 SSDs are available in three ranges. These offer different capacities and performance levels:
- C47 :
- 512 GB: sequential read/write: 7 GB/s – 4.8 GB/s endurance: 700 TBW
- 1 TB: sequential read/write: 7.4 GB/s – 6.8 GB/s endurance: 1450 TBW
- 2 TB: sequential read/write: 7.4 GB/s – 7 GB/s endurance: 2500 TBW
- 4 TB: sequential read/write: 7.4 GB/s – 6.6 GB/s endurance: 5800 TBW
- C45 :
- 512 GB: sequential read/write: 5 GB/s – 2.5 GB/s endurance: 500 TBW
- 1 TB: sequential read/write: 5 GB/s – 4.5 GB/s endurance: 1000 TBW
- 2 TB: sequential read/write: 5 GB/s – 4.5 GB/s endurance: 2000 TBW
- C43 :
- 512 GB: sequential read/write: 3.3 GB/s – 2.4 GB/s endurance: 300 TBW
- 1 TB: sequential read/write: 3.5 GB/s – 2.7 GB/s endurance: 600 TBW
- 2 TB: sequential read/write: 3.5 GB/s – 2.7 GB/s endurance: 1200 TBW
As we can see, the C43 range is clearly the least powerful, and should also be the most affordable. Indeed, data rates are very low, even for PCIe 4.0. The brand must have used a very basic controller, no DRAM cache, the most basic SSD there is.
On the other hand, with the C47, the series is back on track, offering decent performance with good durability. As for the C45 series, it’s somewhere in between.
Unfortunately, we won’t know any more, as the brand’s technical data sheets are very… Light.
